Riot Games - How to Get Hired
How to Get Hired at Riot Games
If you don’t play League of Legends and you want to work here, better get started. Riot checks job applications’ LOL player profiles to see if they play, and whether they behave in a positive and sportsman-like way. The company also checks to see if potential Rioters embody the company’s values of teamwork, communication and collaboration. Players with a history of toxic behavior during game play are heavily scrutinized, and if you’re ever been banned from the game, forget it.
“People are our secret weapon, and everything we do as a company is the work of people, not processes, machines, or governance,” the company says.
One way to get in is to start a League of Legends club, particularly on a college campus. Riot has a college program to support college League of Legends clubs, but it’s also brought “bright, enthusiastic players” to the company’s attention, some of whom have become Rioters after graduation, the company says.
